Nfinity's Shelby Wins Developer Award

June 23, 2010

Christine Shelby, Volleyball Brand Manager for Nfinity Athletic Corporation won a Stevie Award for Product Developer of the Year in The 2010 American Business Awards Monday night.

The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.

In winning the Stevie, Nfinity beat out other finalists including Cigna, LifeLock and High Performance Technologies Inc. In accepting the Stevie, Christine said, "I am so honored to win this award. We work really hard at Nfinity to provide female athletes with the best possible gear. I especially want to thank d3o™ materials for partnering with us and allowing us to truly provide something unique to the volleyball market.”

Shelby won the award for her creation of the Nfinity d3o™ Kneepad, which paired Nfinity up with European Intelligent Shock company, d3o™. The revolutionary kneepad quickly became one of the most sought after kneepads on the market. Introduced in October 2009, the kneepad is designed to reduce the likelihood of injuries in the knee while absorbing and dispersing shock without restricting movement.

Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration, while more than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners.

“It is a part of Nfinity’s overall mission to make a profound difference in the lives of female athletes. This win solidifies that we are heading in the right direction and are remaining focused on creating products that enhance athletic performance. We couldn’t be more proud of Christine and the volleyball division,” said CEO Tate Chalk.
